We had previously worked with the author, Peter Purchase, on the first book in the Truth and Reconciliation trilogy, The Glass Cenotaph. Having done one round of editing on that book, we did three rounds of line editing on The Life and Times of Gerrit de Waal. It was printed via our print-on-demand service, which also covers a wide range of booksellers.

We had done a Marketing Stage 1 Action Plan for Peter for The Glass Cenotaph, and many of its ideas could also be used for The Life and Times. The book was then converted into an ebook and distributed via our online distributors.

About the book

Cartoon Conversations (on teaching, learning and life) is a light-hearted and thought-provoking resource for teachers, business leaders and families. This easy-to-use resource shares 25 cartoons from educational consultant Eric Frangenheim's book, Reflections on Classroom Thinking Strategies.

Each motivational cartoon is accompanied by an explanation and a series of reflective questions to be used in classrooms, staff rooms and around the family table to encourage deeper and more meaningful conversations. In addition, there are 11 generic questions based on Bloom's Taxonomy of the Cognitive domain for each of the 25 cartoons.

The cartoons and questions can be used as ice-breakers for meetings, in schools, in the corporate world, and any form of teaching and family discussion. Readers will have great fun with these cartoons and be challenged to use higher-order thinking to tackle new concepts and questions to look for positive outcomes to everyday challenges in life.
