Print Procurement

We are not a printer, but a print broker, and we can get you the best quality at the best prices by working with offshore printers on runs of 2,000+. Because of the large amount of time required to help scope your printed book, obtain printing quotes, obtain shipping and logistics quotes, etc. there is a $300+GST up front deposit requirement for our print procurement service.

So what is print procurement? It means we will procure a printing quote for you and manage your printing project through to delivery on your doorstep. We use a quality offshore printer and a book-focused logistics company that brings your precious books into Australia with a minimum of fuss and at a minimum price!

Why use us instead of going directly to a printer yourself?

  1. Our book printing companies are very good at customer service and produce excellent quality books.
  2. Our offshore printers are likely to be substantially cheaper than any local printing options.
  3. Our price includes total printing project management.
  4. Our experience as book designers, and with managing printing projects, gives you peace of mind.

Australian eBook Publisher will:

Determine Job Specification

  1. Help you decide what the best printing option is for you regarding trim sizes, colouring and binding for your book.

Procure Quotes

  1. Present to you a competitive quote using one of our preferred overseas printers and communicate this with you in an easy-to-understand way. No messy conversions between currencies! This is the most time-consuming of all tasks as it can take time to figure out what is the most cost-effective printing option for you.

Organise the Printing of Your Books

  • Pay our printer and logistics firm directly and invoice you in Australian dollars, with our modest markup for managing the project.
  • Coordinate the printing project. Includes transferring files, checking proofs and reducing the chance of there being any problems with the final print outcome.

Timeframe for printing offshore

Below is an example time frame for a run of 2,000 books to Brisbane. 'Days' means working days (Monday to Friday).

  1. Wet proof (sample pages)—From delivery date: ~12 business days
We then allow ~7 days for review (Total 19 days)
  2. Actual print run—From sign off date: ~22 business days
We then allow ~7 days for invoice payment and shipping agent arrangements (Total 29 days)
  3. Ship—15 business days (less if by Air, <150kgs)
We then allow ~3 days for dock transfer arrangements and ~7 days for you to pick-up or for us to courier to your address (Total 25 days)

Grand total for printing and shipping to you: 73 business days (Apx. 3 months)

For some examples of books we printed this way please feel free to purchase one of these books (Nb. we also did the design and layout of these):

Payment

There is a $300+GST print procurement fee at the start. This entitles you to five hours of our time. This includes helping you find the best option for you regarding paper stock, trim sizes, binding, etc.

For the actual printing work we require a 50% up front payment of the total cost of your print run prior to commencing coordination work. After you have seen the digital proofs, we will require the final 50% prior to actual print run.

You will find our prices unbeatable and our service top notch.
