Milk and milk products have been a part of the human diet for a very long time. However, it is only relatively recently that criticisms of milk as a dietary component have become increasingly strident. One reason for this no doubt has been the clear evidence that there are some children who are allergic to milk but perhaps an even bigger factor has been the belief that saturated fats are harmful and as milk contains a relative abundance of these fats, it must also be harmful.
