About the Project
Warren Purnell approached us with his first book, Dudley the Lucky Duck from his children's series The Bush Fairy Collection. Our Illustrator, Glen Holman designed the front cover and internal book illustrations including images and captions. Once this was approved, we formatted the manuscript and organised the printing through our Print on Demand service. Once we completed the printing part of the project, we then began the ebook conversion phase, making the book design as close as possible to the print layout. We also aggregated the ebook to the major vendors. ...continue reading "The Bush Fairy Collection"

About the project

This job consisted of converting the customer supplied final manuscript to standard reflowing epub and mobi formats. There were 26 images contained in the manuscript which were optimised, resized and encoded into the ebooks. We also did the front cover design and applied Ebook Designer's Touch™ using elements including fonts, colours and icons from the cover design. We then distributed the ebooks to all major vendors.

About the project
Zanette Phillips supplied us with her final manuscript in word format to be converted to reflowing epub and mobi formats. There were 10 tables that we worked with and encoded for ebook suitability.  We then designed a professional looking front cover by organising and aligning all elements of the design making it look neat and professional. Prior to ebook distribution , we analysed the sales data and put together an action plan which is part of our Book Marketing Stage 1 service. The ebook was then distributed to all major vendors.

About the project
This job was reasonably straightforward as the customer supplied the manuscript and the cover design which were both used as part of the ebook conversion. There were, however, a number of images which we optimised and resized for ebook suitability. We also did ebook distribution  of this ebook, to all the major vendors.

About the project

Ebook - 1st Edition
The Acquiescence project consisted of converting the customer supplied manuscript to both epub and mobi formats. The cover design was supplied by the customer in the correct format for ebooks. We also distributed the approved ebook formats to all major vendors.

Ebook - 2nd Edition
The customer returned with his edited manuscript to be re-converted to both ebook formats, epub and mobi. He was quite satisfied with our service that he also requested we design a new cover and apply Ebook Designer's Touch™  to the entire manuscript. Once approved, we also created a title page using fonts and graphic elements from the front cover. We then re-distributed his 2nd edition to all major vendors.

About the project
First of all with this project we designed the front cover, using a stock image. We then used the customer supplied Word document and applied our Ebook Designer's Touch™ to it, ensuring that all headings and formatting was consistent throughout. This book was quite a complex book in that there were so many sub levels of headings and there were also over 210 images, along with several graphs that needed to be redone in Illustrator in order to make them sharp when viewed in the ebook. There were also many tables that had to be formatted and resized in order to suit the ebook standard for a reflowing format. Once ebook conversion was done, we handled the ebook distribution to all the major vendors.

About the project
This book began as a print project and we designed both the interior and the front cover before converting it to an ebook. It was a very straightforward project as there weren't many images or extensive formatting issues to resolve, it was a simple matter of laying out the poetry nicely and ensuring that the interior matched well with the front cover design that we did first. The book translated well over to ebook at the ebook conversion stage, with the only change being that the poetry had to remain centred rather than range right and left as it is in the print layout. This meant that every ebook device would be able to read the book well, without any text moving to an unwanted alignment which can sometimes happen if formatting is irregular in ebooks. We also did the ebook distribution for this book, to all the major vendors. It was lovely to work with this author and we look forward to working with her again in the near future.

About the project
This book was originally a print book that Qld Museum published, and this Corals section was only one chapter out of that book. Implementing our Ebook Designer's Touch™, we took the files that they gave us (which were more suited to a print layout) and we re-designed the pages so that the text was larger and the layout worked better for a Fixed Layout ebook. Once this was done, we converted the PDF we had created into a Fixed Layout epub and mobi with several cross-references throughout, linking pages to other pages etc. We also did some updating to the customer's existing iBooks file which was an enhanced version of the above ebook, ensuring that pages linked correctly and did some minor adjustments to text and images. Then we published the ibooks file, the epub and the mobi to the relevant vendors.
