There are a number of fundamental differences between print and digital books.

• Digital books don’t take up a lot of room, you can carry as many of them as you like and will fit on your device.

• Digital books can be retrieved instantly. No heading down to the bookshop, or running home to grab the book you forgot to take with you.

• Some digital books are interactive. Links, videos, pictures, audio, multiple-choice questions and answers and more can all be embedded in a digital book.

• Digital books have digital navigation. Go the contents page and simply touch the chapter title… voila! You are there. It’s not just simply the chapter titles you can link to in your table of contents. Linking your front matter (About the author, other books, acknowledgements etc.) make it easier for your readers to get to the information they need right away.

• At the end of a print book there’s usually a picture of the author and maybe a list of more titles that you might like. At the end of a digital book you can rate and review the ebook, head to the author’s website or download the next book in a series.
