About the project
We were supplied a Word document for this book and converted it to standard reflowing epub and mobi. We also aggregated the ebook to the vendors listed above.

In 2017, Fred came back to us and we created the print layout for his book, updating the cover as we went. We then released it for sale with print-on-demand.

About the book
Where the Wattle Blooms encompasses four generations of an Australian family. A quick fortune from the Gympie gold mines eludes Hugh Cramer when he arrives from Ireland in 1880 but he discovers greater riches in the opportunities of this vital and challenging country and great joy in his choice of a life partner. The succeeding generations of the family continue to draw strength and inspiration from the land. The story ends with Sam Cramer marriage in the early 1970s.

Narrated by Matt Cramer, grandson of Hugh Cramer and father of Sam, the story unveils the trials, sorrows, joys, triumphs and tragedies of the Cramer clan and carries the reader from Matt’s early days as an Australian Army officer fighting in the jungles of New Guinea to post-war Japan and the pacific Northwest of the United States. At each junction of the family’s growth, we are reassured by this purposeful and guiding narrator, by his steady voice, easy movement, and trusting faith. He takes our hands through funerals, marriages, loves, births, heartaches and disappointments—the significant and poignant moments into passing generations. The backdrop to this beautifully woven tale is Australia—textured, organic, and rich with color and scent. The place itself becomes a living, breathing participant in the drama, a welcome and necessary member of the Cramer family, as we are invited to take an intimate look into the occurrences that shaped this remarkable family saga.
