About the book
Whether you are thinking about starting your children in swimming lessons or you already have, this book will help you get the most out of lessons.
'Sink or Swim' includes tips and expert advice on what you should expect from swimming and water safety teachers. It includes instructions to show you how to put on a swimming cap (including photos) and goggles.
This book answers many parent questions from infant lessons to mini-squad expectations and helps parents and teachers understand each other, for maximum benefit to the student.
'Sink or Swim' is a great addition to any child’s swimming bag.
An Australian representative swimmer, Joy has developed a successful learn-to-swim program for her company, Aqualification & Fitness, that prepares students for various aquatic sports as well as educates children and parents on water safety.
From her award-winning swim school, her program guides children through water safety lessons, to developing skills across a number of aquatic sports. Her programming is based on skill development and readiness that aligns with early childhood development.
She is an inspirational leader, a passionate teacher, and a motivated aquatic fitness instructor.
In her book, 'Sink or Swim', Joy shares her knowledge on how swimming and water safety teachers and parents can work together optimally to make swimming lessons more fun, and reduce stress at the swimming pool.
About the project
We created the print layout and cover design with Joy for her book, Sink or Swim. Joy provided professional photos for use in the cover design and book layout. Our aim was to make the book reflect the swimming theme, while still maintaining a useful layout. In addition, Joy took our Marketing Stage 1 Package on board and we helped her develop her blurb and other metadata. With the print edition
Once the print edition was designing we distributed it via print on demand and began developing the ebook. This is still in progress, but check back soon for updates.
